Invisalign & Clear Braces
If you’ve been bothered by crooked teeth and gaps in your smile but don't like the idea of traditional braces, you'll probably be thrilled to know that there is now a clear alternative to braces. Invisalign clear aligners can create a stunning smile, and most people around you won’t ever know you’re being treated. And who wouldn’t want to straighten their teeth without announcing it to the world?
Dr. Karen Ho and Dr. Min Hee Oh have extensive experiencing in treating tooth misalignment with Invisalign. For the past eight years, their office has been recognized as an Invisalign Preferred Provider. This means that they have achieved a significant level of experience in treating their patients with Invisalign clear aligners.
Straight Teeth for a Healthier Smile
If you’re thinking about orthodontic treatment, you’re probably most concerned with the way your teeth look. But the benefits of straightening your teeth go far beyond the aesthetic benefits.
Teeth that aren’t properly aligned put extra pressure on the rest of your teeth, creating problems like excessive tooth wear, teeth grinding, and even TMJ. When your teeth are crowded, you may also find it difficult to clean properly around all surfaces, which can lead to decay and gum disease.
In recent years there’s been a lot of research conducted about the link between a healthy mouth and a healthy body. These studies have found that chronic diseases of the mouth (like gum disease) can contribute to serious health problems like heart disease, diabetes, respiratory disease, low birth weight, and Alzheimer’s.
How Invisalign Works
We create your customized Invisalign aligners using our state-of-the-art 3-D computer imaging. This allows us to identify the misalignment and develop a plan that predicts the way your teeth will move during treatment.
This information will be used to create your customized Invisalign aligners. You’ll receive a series of custom aligners and wear each set for about two weeks. As you advance to the next set in the series, you’ll probably notice that your teeth are gradually starting to move into their proper position.
We’ll tell you everything you need to know about Invisalign treatment and make appointments to see you once every six weeks to check on your progress. Most Invisalign treatment takes approximately a year for adults, with treatment time for older teens being about the same as with traditional braces.
